Residential Areas

As our population increases and ages, the demand for residential properties will grow and new thriving areas will be constructed. Peoples preferences to own a new, modern, looking property will also increase the demand for new residential areas to be constructed. As time goes on, cities will expand into residential areas for many people to live and work in, additionally to having the ability to travel to city centres. A great example of this is Bristol.

In modern years, many new residential communities surrounding Bristol have been constructed on the outskirts of the city and are now well populated. Subsequently, this has resulted in new counties being developed to support the population of these new residential areas. Moving into a new area is an exciting prospect. In this blog, we have found some of the South West and Wales’s upcoming residential developments.

Charlton Hayes

Charlton Hayes

Charlton Hayes is a thriving new community located in South Gloucester. The modern-looking residential area is located beside the site of the historic Filton airport. If you’re looking for a convenient place to live, then you cannot get much more convenient than Charlton Hayes. The development is located within walking distance of supermarkets, and one of Bristol’s most popular retail destinations, Cribbs Causeway. If this wasn’t enough, Charlton Hayes is right next to the M5 and M4, providing simple access to the rest of the country. Charlton Hayes is also just off of the A38, a direct road to the city centre. For those looking to move somewhere convenient in Bristol, we would definitely recommend Charlton Hayes.

Undy

Plans to build 155 homes near the M4 in Undy have been planned by Bovis Homes. The new housing development will be located on land either side of Vinegar Hill. Undy is a village not far from Caldicot and development in this area has become increasingly attractive for housing developers. If the developments were to go ahead, the location would be convenient for residents to travel to Caldicot, additionally to other nearby cities and towns such as Newport, Cardiff, and Bristol. Although the development may sound like a fantastic idea, the location of the proposed development would usually not be granted planning permission. This is due to the area being in the Noise Exposure Category C, meaning that the homes would have to have uprated acoustic glazing and mechanical ventilation.

Located just outside the town of Emersons Green, the peaceful new community is a calm, conveniently placed and thriving choice of location to live.
