Why stop at the colors? Sure, it is easier to paint the walls a different shade. But if you don’t throw different materials into the mix, it will create but a cheap illusion. Go for the real thing instead.
Want a wooden coffee table in your living room? Fantastic. But if you don’t mix it up with, say, linen-covered arm chairs and those plush, silky throw pillows, your place could just end up looking as sterile as a hospital lounge.
