Master Electrician license

  1. Should possess a minimum of 8-year work experience as an electrician.
  2. Should be completed a minimum of 576 hours of classroom training.
  3. Should complete a Master Electrician Contractor’s License Application with color photo and pay the application fee.
  4. Should pay the fee for licensing.

Electrician license

  1. Should be passed licensing examination.
  2. Should have a minimum of 6 years of experience as an electrician trainee
  3. Should be completed a minimum of 576 hours of classroom training.
  4. Should complete an Electrician License Application with color photo and pay the application fee.

Once you got your license and started to work, you should renew your license every year. Every year, all electricians are required to complete 6 hours of their continuing education to renew their license. All licensed Electricians must spend 2 hours of continuing education in safety. The remaining 4 hours will be for NEC and business. 

After completion, the license holder should pay their  Kentucky electrical license renewal fee. It depends on the type of license, and the renewal fee vary as follows,
