The Must Have Accessories For Your Garden

Accessories 1

Sometimes a garden is taken for granted, especially during colder months when no one wants to go outside. However, with the right accessories, your garden could become your new favourite space. Here’s a list of items that can make that a reality, even when it’s colder.

Chairs or Sofa

The first thing you need to entice you out into the garden more is something to sit on. You could get yourself some simple plastic garden chairs, sometimes they can be incredibly cheap, such as this £14 one from Argos. This makes buying multiples for guests (if you’re thinking about hosting a gathering) easier. This type of chair is also stackable which makes storage much easier. The plastic chairs will also be easy to clean and you won’t have to worry about leaving them in the rain.

As the seat styles become more fashionable, the prices will rise, but there are still some reasonably priced furniture sets out there. You can always try the bargain shops. A rattan sofa is commonly seen in back gardens, usually coming with a few extras like footstools that can double up as an extra seat, if not used for kicking back.

For chilling out on your own, try a folding wooden deck chair. Perfect for catching some sun with. You can also go the extra mile in relaxation and get a swinging chair. Egg-shaped swinging chairs for one have become a popular addition to gardens in the last few years. For sharing the experience, you can get a two- or three-seater. It’s the modern day hammock.

Tables

To go along with your seating, you might want tables to rest things on. A small wooden or plastic table will go great with your single seater. But if you want to entertain guests, you can get something like a round table, some come with an optional parasol for shade.

A wooden table bench will give your garden a pub feel and be perfect for conversations, this can seat up to 6 people. Some garden sofa sets come with a rattan table too.

Whatever you decide, you can always add an extra table to place food and cutlery on during bigger parties. Some garden accessories that you can buy will have dual uses, such as some models of fire pits having tabletops to rest drinks on.

Accessories

Warmth

When the late summer nights start to get cooler or you want an outside gathering in the colder months, you can keep the party going longer with a few solutions to battle the cold.

These include:

These will be great to keep guests happy during bonfire night or a Halloween party.

Shelter and Shade

As mentioned before, some garden tables come with parasols, but you can also buy a larger one separately within a price range of £50-£100. It’ll keep you nice and shaded if you or guests don’t want to get too much sun, or you just want to be able to see your laptop whilst working from home on a nice day.

On a larger level, a gazebo can cover more guests and add a cosiness to late evenings and windy afternoons. Basic gazebos start off at very reasonable prices of £20 – £30, with bigger and sturdier ones reaching hundreds.

Barbecue

Is it possible to have a garden gathering without a barbecue? If you really want to go all out, a large gas BBQ that lets you cook multiple things at once will set you back a few hundred but last you a long time of delicious meals. There are also smaller portable models if you don’t want to spend as much.

Storage or Shed

With all these new accessories you’ll add to your garden, you’ll need a place to pack them away when not in use. A shed will do the trick and allow you to wheel your portable barbecue inside on cold, wet days.

If you don’t want a whole shed, a storage box can help keep things tidy, put away footballs, boots or garden cushions and give yourself extra room indoors.

Love Your Garden

Even if you don’t like “gardening”, simple accessories like an outdoor sofa can transform your garden into a chill space. It doesn’t have to cost too much either, so give it a go.
