You can find plenty of wool for clothing in stores. From ordinary sheep’s wool to, in some cases, the high-quality merino wool. The latter has a lot of advantages. Which ones are they? You can read about that here.

What is merino wool?

Merino wool comes from the merino sheep. This is a breed of sheep from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Argentina. The merino sheep is one of the most famous sheep breeds in the world. It is the most common breed of sheep in the world and is especially praised for the quality of its wool. In fact, merino wool is enormously soft but at the same time strong in structure. Clothing made of merino wool, such as a pullover heren or a cable sweater (kabeltrui heren), is therefore extremely comfortable and long-lasting!
