How to understand antiques
First of all, let’s understand the terms. There is a joke that antiques are things that you forgot to throw away before they rose in price. But not every old thing can be called antique – a number of signs will be required.
Age
For Russian silver, this is 50 years or more. Although, for example, for European silver, the age limits are much stricter: there, things made before 1830 are considered antique.
